...since I've had a breather.
Really, I think the last time that I was able to actually relax was right around Christmas time. But, not spring break, that ever enticing little venture which acts as a primer for the upcoming months is upon us. Yay :)
In all seriousness, I'm actually rather excited for the event, especially after these last few weeks. There's nothing quite like having three weeks solid booked to the brim with studying and projects and all that jazz. Oh so exciting... Pffft... Still have to actually gather data for a study with the human factors department here at the university when I get back but I suppose that'll have to worry me later.
I suppose one of the strangest things about being on break after all this while is very fact that we're on break. Strange to think that if I wanted to lock myself in my room, sleep till 1800, yell at squirrels outside, or whatever I can do it. Nice to have those options but I'll be the first to admit that it's rather easy to be bored.
Boredom shouldn't be a problem however come this monday.
Someone must be curious as to why.
Right?
Maybekindasortaperhaps?
Just in case:
I'm headed home!
It's kinda weird though how people react to this when I tell them about this little fact. Some folks, hearing where I go to school think that I'm basically lying on a giant freaking fountain of perpetual spring break. As though the very ground itself with the help of powers of booze, beats, tits, earth, wind, fire, water, and the power of heart (ok, maybe not so much the last ones) spews out MTV aired shite. They're the ones, who ask "Why would you ever want to leave your fantastic sunny locale, mate?" (Translated from "Dude, what the fuck are you doing? Spring break blargh!") The other half of the argument bascially questions my sanity for wanting to leave this horrid little wrinkly phalic symbol of a state just when the best little bits are coming to be. So, it's a bit of a catch 22. It's ok though, I really hated that book so everything's all puppies and sunshine.
Admitedly, I kinda put all this together at the last minute, but I'm already kinda notorious for that sort of thing anyways. The key here is that I'm getting home and that's all that really matters. I know I'll definitely butt heads with my folks while I'm there, but I figure pretty much everyone does that sort of thing. It'd be kinda freaky if someone had never gotten into a disagreement with their parents...just no unnatural.
Home's where the heart is though, and that's where my other half is so when it comes to that you won't be listening to me complaining. :) Not even a snow ball's chance in hell that I'm going to pass up a chance to see my love. It's a damn near miracle that she puts up with me already and I don't really appreciate being away from her for too long. Maybe I'll be less stubborn or thick headed one day, but hopefully not.
Well, I suppose most everyone is tired of my rambings and the clock reading 0420 is a pretty convincing argument that I should go to bed.

First Post
So, I decided that I may as well give this try.
I think it's mostly due to boredom.
But, I figure I already spend enough time on my computer and it couldn't hurt to do something different besides Facebooking (oh you evil little thing). This could possibly be even constructive.
And, hey, it's free.
I need a hobby like that.
I think it's been a while since I've had one of those that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Maybe throw in some other bits and pieces as garnish. *squishy*
Anywho, I figure that most people who read this are going to know me through one source or another. Just in case you don't I suppose it couldn't hurt to toss out a few details just so that some of the stuff actually makes some sort of sense and to assure you that I'm not some sort of weird pornbot or something (insert_).
Well to start things off, my name's Alex and currently tied into the position of college drone.
I'm currently trying to eke out a BS in Homeland Security, which is admitedly much better fitting than Aerospace Engineering which I sadly tried out for a year.
Beyond all that, I'm into candle light dinners and long walks on the beach. I kid, but admitedly this kinda feels like writing a personal ad or something.
In all seriousness I'm into a number of things. Food is way up there, epic nom is something I live for to be honest. The outdoors are something I rather enjoy, I don't get out enough though. Guns. We'll have to add more onto that one later. A few other miscellanious things. And, last but not least my girl. :)
Combinations of the above are good too.
Anywho, I guess that's really about it.
Hopefully I'll be back on sometime soon and write something else.
